Meet the Expert in Germany -  PuraStat: Looking Beyond Haemostasis

On the 23rd of February, 3-D Matrix continued its Meet the Expert series with "PuraStat: Looking Beyond Haemostasis”, a virtual event organised in collaboration with partners Nicolai, Treier Endoscopie, and Gerhard  Pecjl Medizintechnik.   

The event, held by Professor Helmut Neumann (University Medical Center Mainz, Germany) and Dr. Christian Bojarski (Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin) was a great success and attracted wide interest and participation, involving more than 90 healthcare professionals.   

The event began with a warm welcome from Professor Neumann who, after introducing the team, kicked off the session with an introduction to the PuraStat product.
After providing an overview of the peptide technology and PuraStat’s synthetic composition, Professor Neumann showed how this makes the product well tolerated by the body and highly suitable for his procedures.  

The audience then had the opportunity to see PuraStat’s ease of use, transparency, and wide applicability through a series of case videos.  

He was followed by Dr. Bojarski who presented the data from his recent pilot study, “PuraStat in gastrointestinal bleeding: results of a prospective multicentre observational pilot study”. The study enrolled 111 patients with acute non-variceal upper and lower gastrointestinal bleeding and demonstrated the feasibility, safety, efficacy, and indication profiles of PuraStat in a clinical setting.

The event ended with a successful and interactive Q&A session, with lots of audience participation.
